Prof. Dr Mirko Spiroski

Founder and Director of the Scientific Foundation SPIROSKI

Prof. Dr Mirko Spiroski is a graduate of the Faculty of Medicine at the Ss Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje, Skopje, Republic of Macedonia (1972), where he later obtained his MSc (1978), and PhD (1989) degrees.

He is the founder and Director of the Institute of Immunobiology and Human Genetics at the Faculty of Medicine in Skopje, Republic of Macedonia from the beginning until September 2013 year.

He introduced several subjects in the curricula at the Faculties of Medicine (Immunology and Human genetics), Natural Sciences (Immunochemistry with basic immunology, Biochemistry-3, Immunogenetics), Physical Education (Genetics in sport), and in the Master of Sciences postgraduate program in Public Health (Public health genetics). He introduced the subject Basics of Scientific Methodology in the curriculum of the School of Doctoral Studies at the Ss Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje, Republic of Macedonia

His research interest is immunology, but he has also published in the fields of molecular anthropology and human genetics.

He was Secretary general and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal Godishen zbornik na Medicinski Fakultet Skopje, and Editor-in-Chief of the Macedonian Journal of Medicine. Prof. Dr Mirko Spiroski is the founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Open Access Macedonian Journal of Medical Sciences, previously known as Macedonian Journal of Medical Sciences. He serve as Associate Editor of the journal Gene, as well as Consulting editor and expert at the Anthropological Researches and Studies. From February 1, 2017, until December 31, 2017, he was employed at Zan Mitrev Clinic, Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. Starting of January 1, 2018, he was employed as Director in Scientific Foundation SPIROSKI, Skopje, Republic of Macedonia.

Ivo Spiroski, MSc

Executive director

Ivo Spiroski, MSc, graduated in 2010 at the University ss. “Cyril and Methodius” of Skopje, Faculty of Design and Technologies of Furniture and Interior.

In 2014 he aquired Master of Sciences degree at the same Faculty in the field of Furniture and Interior Design. Two years (1999-2001) he was Director of the company Medis, Skopje. Mold design specialisation in Taipei, Taiwan (2002).

He was founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal Igrach (Player). Founder and Director of ID Design 2012/DOOEL Skopje, Republic of Macedonia. Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the Journal South East European Journal of Architecture and Design. Tehnical Editor of the Journal OAMJMS.

Since 2019 he is executive director of Scientific Foundation SPIROSKI.

Teodora Fildishevska

Production Editor

Fildishevska Teodora, an administrative worker for ID-Design in Skopje, was born on 18.11.1994 in Skopje. She completed her primary and secondary eduction in Skopje. She has completed training as a Web Developer at the SEDC Programing Academy in Skopje in 2019.

Fildishevska Teodora is currently employed as an administrative worker at ID-Design in Skopje where she participates in the publishing process of the medical science journal Open Access Macedonian Journal of Medical Sciences.

During her training as a Web Developer, she has learned programming with HTML5/CSS (has experience working with Bootstrap), JavaScript and JQuery, as well as C#; she has learned and worked with Microsoft SQL server, MVC, ASP.NET, Entity Framework.

During her years working in the tourism sector, Fildishevska Teodora has developed skills in direct communication and sales to foreign clients, mainly through emails and more rarely face to face. She also participated in the organization and logistic support of events both on the spot and remotely directing the teams responsible for different tasks. As part of her duties, she learned how to do archive work, including creating invoices and contracts with the partners of the company she worked for.

During her time working for OneContact, she further developed her spoken English skills through constant communication with their clients.

Ana Vucurevic

Head of Marrow Donor Registry

Ana Vucurevic, born in Skopje, 24.08.1997, is a graduate of the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the Ss Cyril and Methodius University of Skopje, Republic of Macedonia (2021). She graduated as a molecular biologist.

She volunteered at the hydrobiological laboratory at the faculty of Sciences and Mathematics for two years where she was working on different projects including harvesting and collecting algal biomass and preparation of extracts for toxicity measurements.

She was also included in a project at the University Clinic of Neurosurgery, Skopje where she was Involved in a scientific research for determining the prognostic role of peripheral immune biomarkers (primary focus of interleukins) and oxidative stress in patients with neurosurgical and neurological diseases. Ana has also volunteered at the biochemical laboratory Luks Medicus for a few months where she performed biochemical and hematological analyzes.

As from 01.06.2021 she is employed at the Scientific Foundation SPIROSKI as a molecular biologist with the role Head of Marble Donor Registry as part of the Civica Mobilitas project.

Dr Katerina Spiroska

Doctor of dentistry at the SFS – Marrow Donor Registry

Katerina Spiroska was born on March 7, 1974 in Skopje. She completed her primary education in J. А. Komenski, Skopje, Macedonia from 1980-1988. She finished high school in M.C Dr. Pance Karagjozov, Skopje, Macedonia from 1988-1992. She graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry, Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, Macedonia from 1992-1999.

She was employed at P.Z.U Bogdanovski, Skopje from 2002-2008 as a dentist in primary health care. She continued working in Alkaloid AD Skopje – Sales Pharmacy, report sales Macedonia Human Medicines – PC Pharmacy from 2008-2011. In Alkaloid AD Skopje – Marketing Pharmacy, paper Medical Marketing – PC Pharmacy worked from 2011-2013. From March 1, 2022, she was employed at the Scientific Foundation SPIROSKI, Skopje.

Dr Emilija Andonoska

Physician at SFS - Marrow Donor Registry

Born on 16.04.1994 in Prilep. She completed her primary and secondary education in Prilep.  She graduated at the Ss. Cyril and Methodius University – Faculty of Medicine in Skopje (2012-2019). She worked as a doctor of general medicine in PZU Viktoria – Skopje (2019-2021) and in the Emergency care service in Skopje (2020). Emilija is currently (since 01.01.2022) employed in the Scientific Foundation SPIROSKI where she actively participates in the work and development of the SFS – Marrow Donor Registry.
